Yesim sells two kinds of Maldives plan: fixed data from $9.48 for 1 GB up to $58.80 for 10 GB, all lasting 30 days, or unlimited data priced by the day. There's no ID check, and you can top up. On price, though, Yesim's fixed plans cost more per gigabyte than Airalo's 20 GB plan, and its unlimited plans cost more than Holafly's for the same trip length.
Fixed or unlimited: which Yesim plan?
Fixed data (30 days)
Pick this for most trips. You know the total cost up front, every plan lasts 30 days, and you can top up if you run low.
Good for: a resort week, light to moderate use
Unlimited (by the day)
Pick this only if you'll use a lot of data on a short trip. It costs $100.80 for 7 days, and speed can be slowed under fair use rules.
Good for: streaming, uploads, remote work on the phone

How we make money: some providers pay us a commission if you buy through our links. It doesn't change the price you pay, and it doesn't decide which plans we include or recommend. Details.
| Data | Lasts | Price | Per GB |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 GB | 30 days | $9.48 | $9.48 |
| 3 GB | 30 days | $21.60 | $7.20 |
| 5 GB | 30 days | $34.80 | $6.96 |
| 10 GB | 30 days | $58.80 | $5.88 |
The price per gigabyte drops as the plan grows, down to $5.88 on the 10 GB plan. For comparison, Airalo's Maldives eSIM gives 20 GB for $40, also over 30 days, which is $2.00 per gigabyte.

Frequently asked questions
Does Yesim work in the Maldives?
Yes. Yesim sells Maldives plans with fixed data from 1 GB to 10 GB, plus unlimited plans priced by the number of days. Yesim's coverage details for the Maldives list Dhiraagu with 5G as the network. We haven't tested it ourselves yet, so that comes from Yesim's own page.
Do I need ID to buy a Yesim Maldives eSIM?
No. Yesim's Maldives page says ID verification isn't required. That makes it one of the quickest options to buy at the last minute, compared with plans that ask you to verify your identity before they work.
When does a Yesim Maldives plan start?
Yesim says the validity period starts when the eSIM connects to a compatible network, and you have 180 days from purchase to activate it. So you can buy and install it well before your trip, and the clock starts in the Maldives.
Is Yesim unlimited data really unlimited in the Maldives?
There's no fixed cap, but Yesim says speed may be limited under the network operator's fair usage policy, and it explains that most providers slow data after a daily limit. If you need heavy, steady use every day, check those terms before you buy.
Can I hotspot with Yesim in the Maldives?
Possibly. Yesim's Maldives plan details say hotspot use depends on the operator, and they don't say whether Dhiraagu allows it on this plan. If sharing with a laptop matters, test it soon after you land, while you still have time to switch plans.
Can I top up a Yesim Maldives eSIM?
Yes. Yesim lists balance top-ups as available for its Maldives plans. That's handy on the 1 GB plan, but if you expect to top up more than once, a bigger plan from the start usually works out cheaper per gigabyte.
